Mom Is Learning To Talk With Her Spirits

This entry is part 1 of 3 in the series Dear Universe (Spirits Included)

My friend told me she is using Jim Carry’s method of Spiritual Awakening in order to align her spirits to focus on receiving a free new iPad Pro. We laughed and made jokes but deep down I think she is holding onto the faith and I too want to believe. The conversation got me to thinking; I want to learn more about this philosophy. I am a wor·ry·wart. Often I find myself stuck in my thoughts and, therefore, stuck in moving forward with finishing my own “stuff”.
I woke up today ready to write a new script for the future. Let’s see where this venture will take me.

Fresh Pesto
Servings: people
Instructions
Fresh Pesto (you can make this in advance)
  1. We'll be using a food processor to make the pesto. Put the garlic, pine kernels and some salt in there and process briefly.
  2. Add the basil leaves (but keep some for the presentation) and blend to a green paste.
  3. While processing, gradually add the olive oil and finally add the Parmesan cheese.
Finishing the dish
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and cook your tagliatelle al dente.
  2. Use the cooking time of the pasta to sauté your bacon strips.
  3. After about 8 to 10 minutes, the pasta should be done. Drain it and put it back in the pot to mix it with the pesto.
  4. Present the dish with some fresh basil leaves on top.

Hello world! Now serving Creamy Asparagus & Mushroom Soup

Welcome to My Vegetarian Girl!  Today I have for you a recipe for

creamy Asparagus-mushroom soup

Cake Mix Cookies
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pkg yellow or devils food cake mix (any flavor works, dark chocolate is good too)
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and cheese. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add cake mix 1/3 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Unless you have a Kitchen Aid mixer or one that will handle a dryer mix. Mix the last 1/3 by hand.
